Dr. Kristie Escobar received a Ph.D. in Information Sciences and a Master of Library and Information Sciences from The Florida State University, an M.A. in Humanities from Tiffin University, and a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of Florida. Previously she was a Visiting Lecturer and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of STEM Education & Professional Studies at 51Ç鱨վ.
As a leader in the engineering field, Dr. Fergus has more than 180 publications, which have been cited more than 14,000 times by other researchers. In addition, he has been the principal investigator or co-principal investigator on research projects involving materials for gas turbine engines, batteries, fuel cells, and chemical sensors. Dr. Fergus earned his undergraduate degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Fergus currently serves as the Dean of the Batten College of Engineering & Technology.Â

Dr. Kimberly Freisenbruch is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) which she received from 51Ç鱨վ, where she was one of the only students to have ever completed both her masters and doctoral degrees at the same time. Dr. Freisenbruch is passionate about providing mental health care and specializes in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI).
