About this Program

The Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education equips pre-service teachers with research-based knowledge, skills, abilities and dispositions to engage in socially just teaching practices. Through development of interdisciplinary practices and assessment literacy, with a focus on critical thinking, our pre-service teachers will be equipped to make significant impacts on learning in tomorrow鈥檚 elementary classrooms. The diverse needs of PK-6 students, systemic influences on student performance, and ethical considerations are embedded throughout the curriculum.

For admission to an undergraduate teacher education program, a student must have an overall GPA of 2.75 and 鈥淐-鈥 or better in required courses, or an overall GPA of 2.80 and 鈥淐鈥 or better in the BSED program. 聽
