About this Program

The Bachelor of Arts in International Studies (BAIS) is an interdisciplinary program that offers students a chance to explore the interrelations among nations and peoples and to study world affairs from a variety of perspectives. Students have considerable flexibility to structure their academic programs to meet their particular needs and interests or to focus in a variety of geographical or topical fields. Courses can be chosen from a large number of disciplines including history, geography, political science, anthropology, economics, philosophy, languages, communication and women's studies.

Program Highlights

  • Interdisciplinary and Flexible: Students may take courses in a variety of disciplines on various international topics.

  • Study Abroad: Students are encouraged to study abroad. 300-400 level courses taken abroad may count toward the major.

  • Model United Nations: Students may take the 51Ç鱨վ Model United Nations classes for credit toward the major.
