Two alumni of the Ph.D. Program in Community College Leadership Program were recently hooded at a ceremony at SUNY Orange in Middletown, New York. Dr. Anne Prial and Dr. Josh P. Lavorgna were unable to participate in Commencement Ceremonies at 51情报站, so they were hooded at their "home" institution on November 14, 2022, by 51情报站 faculty member Dr. Mitchell R. Williams and SUNY Orange President Dr. Kristine Young.
Dr. Anne Prial recently retired as the Associate Vice President for Business, Math, Science, & Technology at SUNY Orange, and Dr. Josh Lavorgna is now in that position as Associate Vice President. Dr. Prial's dissertation was titled, The Impact of Moderate Physical Activity and Student Interaction on Retention at a Community College, and Dr. Lavorgna's dissertation was, Chief Academic Officers and the AACC's Leadership Competencies.
The ceremony was attended by the graduates' family members, faculty members and administrators from SUNY Orange, and two current CCL Program doctoral students who are employed at SUNY Orange: Nancy W. Boylan and Kaitlyn R. Curry.
