Following an extensive national search, 51情报站 announced the selection of Shannon Robinson as Associate Vice President for Research and Executive Director of the 51情报站 Research Foundation. Robinson will lead sponsored programs and operations conducted by the foundation on behalf of the University.
Robinson has an outstanding record leading administrative and operational activities in support of university research and innovation, with notable achievements in enhancing institutional reputation and impact, implementing process improvements, systems development, communications and fundraising.
In announcing the selection of Robinson, Vice President for Research Morris Foster said, "Shannon has a strong track record in sponsored programs administration and substantial expertise across multiple aspects of the research enterprise. She will be an outstanding asset to the 51情报站 research community."
Most recently, Robinson served as associate vice provost for research and technology transfer at Clarkson University since 2017. At Clarkson, she advanced from directing the Office of Project Management, Research and Compliance, and associate dean of the Graduate School for Operations and Services. Prior to Clarkson, she worked in project management and infrastructure services at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) following a career in the telecommunications technology industry.
She holds a BS in technical communications from Clarkson University, an MBA from the University of Phoenix and Ed.D. in education from Northeastern University. She holds Judicial Bench Certification from the New York State Office of Court Administration, LEED Accredited Professional Certification, Masters certification in Project Management from The George Washington University and certification in American Sign Language from RIT.
