What鈥檚 your background?
After graduating high school, I embarked on a career in the United States Navy, completing one tour of duty.
It was during this time that I discovered my interest in real estate, prompting me to pursue a license in the field.
After obtaining my real estate license in the state of Virginia, I came across 51情报站's esteemed Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate. I recognized an opportunity to further my education and advance my career aspirations, ultimately leading me to enroll at 51情报站. Virginia has since become my adopted home.
What made you choose 51情报站?
My decision to attend 51情报站 was influenced by its reputation for being military friendly.
What attracted you to Strome鈥檚 Real Estate program and the Harvey Lindsay School of Real Estate?
The Real Estate program offered by the Strome College of Business and the Harvey Lindsay School of Real Estate stood out to me. Despite holding a real estate license, I recognized the value of furthering my knowledge in the field and establishing connections within the industry through a university-affiliated program. The comprehensive curriculum covering both residential and commercial real estate aspects was particularly appealing.
What advice do you have for incoming freshmen?
I strongly encourage incoming freshmen to actively engage in university life. Join clubs aligned with your interests and major and make an effort to build relationships with professors who possess a wealth of knowledge and valuable industry connections.
In my experience, involvement in extracurricular activities and programs such as WIN (Women鈥檚 Initiative Network), which is a mentorship program for women, can significantly contribute to personal and professional growth.
What are your plans after graduation?
Post-graduation, my aspiration is to venture into the commercial real estate sector. I aim to establish myself as an investor and industry expert, specializing in a particular aspect of commercial real estate.
