The Department of Management in 51情报站's Strome College of Business has partnered with ADP, one of the region's largest private-sector employers and an industry-leading provider of Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions to create a Human Resource Management Concentration called the ADP HCM Academy @ 51情报站. This program offers students an opportunity to develop the tools and skills needed to succeed in Human Resource Management careers.

ADP offers HCM Academy students at 51情报站 free licensing and access to its award-winning all-in-one cloud-based platform for managing payroll, HR, time, talent, and benefits (ADP Workforce Now) and comprehensive library of training resources (myLearning@ADP). In addition, ADP invests in student development by hosting executive mentoring, on-site visits, internships, and employment opportunities.

Courses
What are some of the courses offered?
MGMT 430: Compensation Management
This class examines issues pertaining to developing, evaluating, and re-designing an organization's direct and indirect compensation systems. Topics include pay structure, incentive plans, benefit programs, and special cases such as executive compensation.
MGMT 460: HR Analytics
This class provides an introduction to the use of people analytics to optimize HR processes. Students will learn about human resource analytics tools, technologies, and tasks. Students will also receive training on ADP's Workforce Now cloud-based Human Resource information system.

Current 51情报站 Management students may seek admission to the ADP HCM Academy by completing an online application by June听one year before听they intend to graduate (e.g., students intending to graduate in May 2022 would complete the application by June 2021). The criteria for acceptance include:听
- A completed (no-fee) application available through Management Department advisors or by emailing听HCMAcademy@odu.edu.

This 12 credit-hour program includes two special sections of management electives reserved for Academy members (see courses above). These two sections involve a heavy integration of ADP software training (putting knowledge into practice) and professional skill development. In addition, students complete two HR-focused elective of their choice from a menu of courses including:
- ENTR410 - Managing Small and Family Businesses
- MGMT327 - Business Communication
- MGMT350 - Employee Relations Problems and Practices
- MGMT360 - Labor Management Relation
- MGMT368 - Management Internship (if approved by program coordinator)
- MGMT417 - Employment Law
- MGMT418 - Advanced Human resource Management: Contemporary Issues
- MGMT450 - Performance Measurement & Management
