Liz received her Ph.D. and M.S. in Pharmacology from the University of Rochester, School of Medicine & Dentistry and a B.S. in Chemistry from the State University of NY, College at Oswego. She has a wealth of experience as a research scientist, professor, patient advocate, and scientific and medical writer/editor. Her career has encompassed fundamental, pre-clinical, and clinical research; teaching undergraduate, graduate, and medical students; acting as an intermediary in patient/physician interactions; and, most recently, supporting 51情报站 research as a Senior Grant Development Specialist with the Office of Research.
Liz has been responsible for scientific and medical writing, editing, and proofreading deliverables at the University, Pharmaceutical and Biotech Industry levels. Her established writing skills are supported by successful grant writing, editing, and proofreading; authoring peer-reviewed scientific/medical publications; integrated clinical summaries; inquiry response documents; and portions of regulatory submissions. Her verbal communications abilities have been demonstrated by receptive delivery of presentations to Boards of Directors, physicians, scientists, colleagues, and students. Liz possesses a strong scientific foundation in Oncology, Immunology, Neurology, and Pharmacotherapeutics from a career in Pharmaceutical/Biotech Industry and University research, teaching, and grant proposal development.
As a Senior Grant Development Specialist at 51情报站, Liz has effectively assisted faculty and administrators in the planning, development, writing, editing, and proofreading of individual, multi-investigator, multidisciplinary, inter-college, and multi-institutional proposals submitted successfully to federal/state agencies and foundations in support of research, curriculum, and program advancement.
