Romina Samson and Sherry DiBari have accepted new positions at the Batten College of Engineering and Technology.
Dr. Khan Iftekharuddin, interim dean of the Batten College of Engineering and Technology, is pleased to announce the following position changes:
Romina Samson was recently promoted to director of finance and operations.
Previously, she worked as a fiscal operations specialist at the Business Services Center and as the office manager for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
In 2020, Samson assumed the role of interim business services center manager. She directed all fiscal and administrative operations for the Batten College of Engineering and Technology, including budget management, procurement and inventory and asset control.
Samson earned an MBA from 51情报站 in 2017.
Sherry DiBari has accepted the position of director of marketing and communications.
She stepped into the role after serving as a public relations specialist in 51情报站's Office of Public Affairs and Media Relations.
Her previous positions include media specialist at the Virginia Space Grant Consortium, adjunct professor in 51情报站's geography and journalism departments and as a photojournalist for newspapers in North Carolina, Georgia, Maryland, Tennessee and New Mexico.
DiBari holds master's degrees in visual communication and geography from Ohio University.
