The Batten College of Engineering and Technology (BCET) engages students in various education and outreach activities. BCET 's mission is to introduce current and future students to engineering and to provide an option for a future career. Throughout the year, outreach activities are offered to students interested in learning more about engineering with hands-on lab activities designed to motivate them to pursue higher education.

Welcome to Pathways to Monarch Engineering, an outreach program designed for students in grades 6-12. This program offers a unique opportunity to explore the exciting field of engineering through hands-on experiences and interactive learning.

Program Overview

Pathways to Monarch Engineering aims to ignite a passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) among middle and high school students. Through visits to 51Ç鱨վ’s Batten College of Engineering and Technology and on-site activities at schools, students are immersed in the world of innovation and creativity.

This program serves as a gateway to the world of engineering, blending innovation, imagination, and practicality. It is perfect for students keen on exploring STEM and making a positive impact on the world. Our customized experiences cater to groups typically ranging from 10 to 20 students, although larger groups are welcome to visit as well but may not be able to do hands-on activities.

Typical Campus Visit:

A standard college visit lasts two to three hours and includes a variety of engaging activities designed to spark interest in STEM fields.

  • Admissions Presentation:

    • Engage in a question-and-answer session with 51Ç鱨վ Engineering students.
  • Customizable Opportunities:
    • Additional activities can be arranged based on the interests of the visiting group.
