Overview
The Geospatial Advisory Council (GAC) provides guidance on strategies, issues, and priorities related to University Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geospatial hardware, software, and affiliated technologies. Academic/Instructional and Research geospatial assets include campus-wide software site licenses, Enterprise GIS systems, GIS teaching lab desktop hardware and software, virtualized computing resources (MoVE), GPS/GNSS and other field data collection hardware, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), and a wide array of specialized geospatial capabilities.
The GAC will hold formal meetings three times per year near the beginning of each academic semester. Council membership is open to all 51情报站 full-time faculty and staff who have an interest in guiding the future direction of geospatial at 51情报站. Please contact gmcleod@odu.edu to join the group.
