Have you ever had students tell you that they didn't buy the textbook for your course? Do you need more flexibility than the traditional textbooks in your field offer? In this workshop, you will explore open textbook solutions, and be eligible for a $200 stipend by writing a short textbook review.
About the Workshop
The Open Educational Resources workshop will be held on March 30, 2017 from 1-3 PM in Perry Library, room 1306. During the first part of the workshop, you will learn about the Open Textbook Network and how you can earn $200 by reviewing an open textbook. During the second part of the workshop, you will have the opportunity to find affordable or open course content for your courses with assistance from the workshop facilitators.
The workshop will be facilitated by Lucinda Rush, Librarian, 51情报站 Libraries, and Deri Draper, The Provost Fellow, College of Continuing Education & Professional Development and Director of Integrative Learning for the Center of High Impact Practices. Light refreshments will be provided!

The is comprised of legitimate, peer-reviewed textbooks used by many faculty across the country, and licensed to be freely used, edited, and distributed.
