51情报站 Libraries have signed an open access agreement with Cambridge University Press. Any 51情报站 faculty, staff or student who is the corresponding author of a journal article accepted by a Cambridge UP journal can publish open access at no cost to them. With open access publishing, articles are immediately and freely available online for anyone to read, download and share.

Did you know that 75% of OA articles get more citations than their non-OA equivalents, receiving on average 30-50% more citations?

This agreement is 51情报站's first "read and publish" deal, a transformative agreement that takes away the need to pay cost-prohibitive article processing charges (APCs) for open access. Cambridge is a prestigious academic publisher with , many of them in humanities and social sciences as well as sciences, business, health sciences and engineering.

A few more options are available to 51情报站 authors with discounted or no APCs through the Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA) (). These agreements represent one step in the Libraries' goal to achieve a more sustainable and equitable scholarly communication system where 51情报站 authors can make their research available to a global audience.
