What is the Hudgins Transitional Entrepreneurship Lab?
The Hudgins Transitional Entrepreneurship Lab was created from the generous donation of Marsha K. Hudgins. Our vision is to educate and empower people in the Hampton Roads community to initiate, build, and leverage entrepreneurial ventures to transition their lives and the prospects of underserved communities. We do so through a combination of generating and disseminating research, connecting local entrepreneurial mentors with mentees, and running a series of community workshops.
Who do we serve?
The Hudgins Transitional Entrepreneurship Lab serves four communities: (1) The local community, (2) 51情报站 students, (3) Hampton Roads Entrepreneurship Ecosystem, and (4) academic scholars of entrepreneurship and social issues in management. In addition to faculty-led seminars and workshops, we offer internship programs customized to local transitional entrepreneurs and general community education programs available to anyone. Additionally, we host monthly "cohort" events that provide, mentees, mentors, and our students with hands-on advice, exposure, and scientific insights. Finally, we conduct and promote research related to the Lab's mission and the wider Universities' research vision.
