To maximize the impact of scholarly activity, the DCEPS Research Support Center will:
- promote faculty, student and community interdisciplinary relationships,
- establish platforms and networks to share new knowledge,
- develop infrastructure for funding development and resource acquisition, and
- support professional development and mentorship that leads to research excellence.

Leadership
Dr. Katsioloudis is an Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs and Research at the Darden College of Education and Professional Studies at 51情报站. He has also served as Chair of the Department of STEM Education and Professional Studies, and Program Leader for the Industrial Technology program. Over the last 15 years, he demonstrated consistent growth by conducting research on improving teacher performance in STEM education, focusing on spatial visualization best teaching practices, and enhancing a national STEM-educated workforce; teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in industrial technology/engineering and technology education; and serving his academic and professional communities.聽

Coordinator of Student Research Support
Angela Eckhoff is a Professor and Graduate Program Director of the聽PhD in Education, Curriculum and Instruction. Since joining the faculty in the Department of Teaching and Learning in 2011, Dr. Eckhoff has served as program director for multiple graduate programs and teaches graduate students across the college in various courses. She has served as a dissertation chair or committee member to over 40 doctoral students in DCEPS. In these roles, she has worked to advocate for graduate programming that provides scholars with the resources needed to develop critical, responsive research agendas addressing complex problems. In addition,聽Dr. Eckhoff has served her own professional organization, the National Association for the Education of Young Children, as a聽Consulting Editor for six consecutive terms.聽 She has served on numerous state and regional boards working to advocate for research into practice approaches to policy enactment in early childhood.聽 Most currently working alongside Zero to Three in Washington, DC on a national early STEM initiative. Dr. Eckhoff has also served as Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator on over 1.2 million in funding while at 51情报站.
